Rebecca Ferguson Joins Men in Black Revival, The Shining Sequel Doctor Sleep

Mission Impossible franchise co-star Rebecca Ferguson has signed on to roles in the Men in Black revival and Doctor Sleep. Deadline reports that Ferguson will play the female lead alongside Chris Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson, Liam Neeson, Emma Thompson, Rafe Spall, and Kumail Nanjani. The spin-off will release on June 14th, 2019.

After that, Ferguson will move on to play the villain of Rose the Hat in Doctor Sleep. In the Mike Flanagan-directed sequel to Stephen King’s The Shining, Rose the Hat is the quasi-immortal leader of the True Knot. The group is a cult of similarly undying people who sustain their lives by feeding off the psychic essence that those with “the shine” emit while being tortured to death. Ferguson will co-star with Ewan McGregor, Carl Lumbly and Alex Essoe in the film, which is set to release on January 24th, 2020.
