Rian Johnson Would Be Interested in Directing an Episode of The Mandalorian

Rian Johnson’s Star Wars resume is polarizing, but he’d be willing to give it another go by directing an episode of The Mandalorian. Johnson, who directed Star Wars: The Last Jedi and the currently-in-theaters Knives Out, spoke with CinemaBlend for a new interview and during it was asked if he would be interested in helming a future episode of the hit Disney+ series.

“Hell yeah!,” Johnson replied. “Man, if I had the time, I would get in there in a heartbeat. I had a set visit for Season 1 and it looked amazing. It looked like so much fun!”

The Mandalorian is set to go for a second season, with no directors yet set for the episodes. The first season is currently on Disney+.
