Rick and Morty Creator Announces 70 More Episodes for Show
In a post on his Twitter account today, Rick and Morty co-creator (and voice of Rick Sanchez and Morty Smith) Justin Roiland confirmed that 70 more episodes of the show are currently in the works. You can check out his announcement tweet and drawing below.
Fans were starting to become concerned and angry recently due to the lack of any news for a fourth season. This at least confirms that the show is continuing, and more episodes are currently being made.
Regardless, the show receiving a 70-episode order is rather staggering. The show currently only has 31 episodes after three seasons. This order basically keeps the smash-hit series as part of the cultural zeitgeist for the foreseeable future. This will also put the show over 100 episodes.
Rick and Morty finished its third season last year. The show airs on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim block.
More Rick and Morty coming. Looking forward to all the tweets asking where it is! #theydrawingit pic.twitter.com/KZild3B9rP
