As if the kids in Hawkins didn’t have enough to worry about, now Freddy Krueger is joining the fray. Deadline reports that Robert Englund, along with several others, have joined the cast of Stranger Things season four. Englund will be in a recurring role as Victor Creel, described as a “disturbed and intimidating man who is imprisoned in a psychiatric hospital for a gruesome murder in the 1950s.”

New series regulars include Jamie Campbell Bower, Eduardo Franco and Joseph Quinn, with recurring roles for Tom Wlaschiha, Sherman Augustus, Mason Dye and Nikola Djuricko.

Quinn will play Eddie Munson, an “an audacious 80’s metalhead who runs The Hellfire Club, Hawkins High’s official D&D club.”

Bower will play Peter Ballard, described as “a caring man who works as an orderly at a psychiatric hospital” who is “tired of the brutality he witnesses day after day.”

Wlaschiha plays Dmitri, a Russian prison guard who makes friends with Hopper. Meanwhile, another Russian named Yuri will be played by Djuricko. Franco will play Argyle, the new best friend of Jonathan who is a “fun-loving stoner.”

Finally, Augustus will play Lt. Colonel Sullivan and Dye will play Jason Carver, described “handsome”, “rich” and someone who “has it all.”

The series resumed filming back in September after taking a break due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
