Robert Pattinson Tests Positive For COVID-19, The Batman Halts Production After Three Days

The Batman was forced to shut down production just three days after starting back up following Robert Pattinson testing positive for COVID-19. Deadline reports that the film is on a halt and confirmed that Pattinson tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

The DC film had picked up production just three days ago in the UK after being on a five and half month pause due to the pandemic. Warner Bros. issued a statement which read:

“A member of The Batman production has tested positive for Covid-19, and is isolating in accordance with established protocols. Filming is temporarily paused.” No further information was provided by the studio in protecting their workers’ privacy.

The film reportedly has another three months left to shoot. It is set to release on October 1st, 2021.
