Ryan Reynolds appears to be hinting at Deadpool’s next appearance in a post made to social media. The Deadpool star posted to his Instagram account on Tuesday with a photo featuring the Avengers logo with an anarchy symbol spray-painted over it in the Merc with a Mouth’s distinctive red. Reynolds did not provide any caption for the image, as you can see below.

Deadpool, who last graced the screen in last year’s Deadpool & Wolverine, has not been announced for an Avengers film as of yet. That said, Marvel said more casting announcements would be forthcoming after the extensive cast reveal video for Avengers: Doomsday in March. It’s not clear of Reynolds is teasing such a forthcoming announcement or just trolling the internet, as he is wont to do sometimes.

Avengers: Doomsday is set to release on December 18th, 2026 and (thus far) stars Chris Hemsworth, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Paul Rudd, Letitia Wright, Florence Pugh, Simu Liu, Tom Hiddleston, Wyatt Russell, David Harbour, Winston Duke, Danny Ramirez, Hannah John-Kamen, Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Alan Cumming, Rebecca Romijn, James Marsden, Kelsey Grammer, Channing Tatum, Tenoch Huerta Mejía, Lewis Pullman, and Robert Downey Jr. The Russo Brothers are back to direct the film.

Deadpool & Wolverine grossed $636.7 domestically and $1.338 billion worldwide.
