Salem’s Lot Remake Sets 2024 Release on Max

Warner Bros.’ delayed Salem’s Lot remake finally has a release window, and it will arrive on Max. Warner Bros. Discovery announced on Tuesday that New Line’s new adaptation of the 1975 Stephen King novel will debut on Max this year. The Gary Dauberman-directed film does not have a specific date set as of yet.

The Salem’s Lot remake has had a bumpy ride to release, as it was initially set to release on September 9th, 2022 before being moved to April 21th, 2023. It lost that release date to Evil Dead Rise and was taken off the schedule. Warner Bros. remained quiet on its future until today’s announcement.

Dauberman wrote and directed the film, which stars Lewis Pullman, Makenzie Leigh, Bill Camp, Pilou Asbæk, Alfre Woodard, and William Sadler. It is described as follows:

Author Ben Mears returns to his childhood home of Jerusalem’s Lot in search of inspiration for his next book only to discover his hometown is being preyed upon by a bloodthirsty vampire.
