Scarlett Johansson Says Her MCU “Chapter Is Over”

Speaking recently on fellow MCU star Gwyneth Paltrow’s The Goop Podcast, Scarlett Johansson confirmed her intention not to return to the screen for the Marvel Cinematic Universe (per Variety). Her Black Widow character met her end in Avengers: Endgame and Johansson concluded her run with the part in 2021’s Black Widow film. On if she’d come back for more Marvel film work: “I’m done. Chapter is over. I did all that I had to do. Also coming back and playing a character again and again, over a decade of time, is such a unique experience.”
