Scream 7 Trailer Features the Return of Neve Campbell as Sidney Prescott

Neve Campbell returns to her iconic role of Sidney Prescott in the newly released trailer for Scream 7. Paramount Pictures debuted the official trailer for the upcoming sequel earlier today. The latest installment of the beloved horror-slasher franchise debuts in February 2026. You can view the new trailer below.

In the upcoming sequel, a new Ghostface killer emerges in the quiet town where Prescott has built a new life. Unfortunately for Sidney, her daughter (Isabel May) becomes the next target. Now, Sidney must face the horrors of her past and put an end to the bloodshed once and for all…or at least until the studio tries to make another sequel.

Campbell previously returned to the franchise for the fifth movie, simply titled Scream, in 2022. However, she sat out Scream 6 due to a dispute over her offer for the sequel. The actress said at the time (via Deadline), “As a woman, I have had to work extremely hard in my career to establish my value, especially when it comes to Scream.” She continued, “I felt the offer that was presented to me did not equate to the value I have brought to the franchise.”

Also back for Scream 7 is Courteney Cox, who reprises her role as Gale Weathers and has appeared in every cinematic franchise installment. Mason Gooding and Jasmin Savoy Brown are also back as the Meeks-Martin siblings, Chad and Mindy.

Other cast members include Anna Camp, Joel McHale, Mckenna Grace, Michelle Randolph, Jimmy Tatro, Asa Germann, Celeste O’Connor, Sam Rechner, Ethan Embry, Tim Simons, and Mark Consuelos. <i>Scream</i> co-creator Kevin Williamson, who wrote several of the franchise installments, serves as director of the franchise for the first time with the seventh film.

Williamson directs the feature from a script he co-wrote with Guy Busick, with a story by Busick and James Vanderbilt. Scream 7 debuts exclusively in theaters on February 27, 2026.
