Simon Pegg discussed Quentin Tarantino’s planned Star Trek film and said it probably won’t be coming about for quite a while. Pegg spoke with the Edmonton Journal and said that he didn’t expect it to star the current film series’ cast./

“[Quentin] came into Bad Robot and pitched it and it’s been put in the bank,” Pegg said. “I think he had us in mind when he came up with the idea; he likes the new cast. But he’s going to be so busy with Once Upon a Time in Hollywood that I can’t see him doing it for five or six years, by which time we might be too old anyway.”

Tarantino is not currently set to direct the film, but it has been reported as a possibility. The R-rated film will come after Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, which is currently filming for a July 26th, 2019 release.
