Snoop Dogg Will The Focus of New Biopic From Universal Pictures

Deadline reprots that Universal Pictures will produce a new biopic about Snoop Dogg, which will star Jonathan Daviss (Outer Banks) as the iconic rapper. Craig Brewer (Hustle & Flow, Dolemite is My Name) is set to direct with Snoop Dogg, Brian Grazer and Death Row Pictures president Sara Ramaker producing.

This is the first project from Death Row Pictures’ deal with NBCUniversal Entertainment & Studios. This is Universal’s third film about famous rappers after 8 Mile and Straight Outta Compton. Universal SVP Production Development Ryan Jones and Director of Development Tony Ducret will executive produce.
