Fans can finally get a look at the new movie design for the Blue Blur. Paramount Pictures released a new trailer for the live-action Sonic the Hedgehog movie, which is due out in theaters in February 2020. You can check out the new trailer and poster for the upcoming video game film below.

The new trailer reveals Sonic’s updated design for the film after it was delayed from its original November release due to the backlash over Sonic’s original design for the film. Sonic’s new design for the film appears to hue much closer to his classic, iconic game design. He’s now wearing his trademark classic gloves, and he’s wearing socks as well and shoes more comparable to his game counterpart. Additionally, his outline and overall design look closer to the game, rather than the awkward, human-like proportions of his original movie design.

The film was originally scheduled for a November 14 release date, which was pushed back by the production in order to fix Sonic’s design, which received a great deal of negative feedback. Sonic the Hedgehog arrives in theaters on February 14, 2020. The film stars James Marsden, Ben Schwartz as the voice of Sonic, Tika Sumpter and Jim Carrey as Dr. Robotnik. It was directed by Jeff Fowler from a script by Pat Casey and Josh Miller. Here’s an official synopsis:

Based on the global blockbuster videogame franchise from Sega, SONIC THE HEDGEHOG tells the story of the world’s speediest hedgehog as he embraces his new home on Earth. In this live-action adventure comedy, Sonic and his new best friend Tom (James Marsden) team up to defend the planet from the evil genius Dr. Robotnik (Jim Carrey) and his plans for world domination. The family-friendly film also stars Tika Sumpter and Ben Schwartz as the voice of Sonic.
