Sophie Turner Reveals That Sansa Will Wear Armor in Game of Thrones Season 8

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner revealed that Sansa is in for a practical wardrobe change for the show’s eighth and final season. She will finally get the chance to wear some armor.

Speaking on the final season, Sophie Turner stated, “This is the first time I’ve had armor.” Per the report, her armored gear will look like a jet-black ensemble made out of thick leather or similar material.

Turner added, “We the idea of it being very protective and she buttons herself up. I wanted her to have a bit of armor and be a bit more warrior like. She’s like the warrior of Winterfell.”

The new costume has not yet been revealed in any promotional or pre-release materials for Season 8. A promotional photo still for the final season did show her wearing some heavy furs and a black cloak after having returned to her ancestral home of Winterfell.

The the start of Season 8, Sansa has been busy helping Winterfell prepare for war against the White Walkers. Game of Thrones returns for its eighth and final season on April 14 on HBO.
