Sophie Turner says that her experience working with Bryan Singer was similar to Rami Malek’s, and that’s not a compliment. Turner, who was directed by Singer in X-Men: Apocalypse, spoke during her and Maisie Williams’ Rolling Stone interview about how working with Singer was not an enjoyable experience.

The quote is short, and comes at the end of Turner musing about how Hollywood has a bit of a parallel in Westeros with men in power abusing it like Harvey Weinstein. “You go into something and you think it’s going to be a huge dream, and then you figure out, ‘Oh, wait. I have to be very strategic about everything. And Harvey Weinstein is Joffrey or Ramsay. Probably worse than that. A White Walker.” Asked about her experience with Singer, Turner says, “Our time together was, like Rami said, unpleasant.”

Turner is referencing Malek’s comments in February where he was asked during a moderated Q&A about his xeperience working with singer on Bohemian Rhapsody. He said, “In my situation with Bryan, it was not pleasant, not at all. And that’s about what I can say about it at this point.”
