South Park Creators Finalize Deal to Buy Casa Bonita

South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone have completed their purchase of Casa Bonita, the Colorado restaurant that was featured on a classic 2003 South Park episode.

Parker confirmed the news to The Hollywood Reporter.

“We bought it,” he said. “It just feels natural.”

The purchase follows Parker and Stone signing a $935 million deal with ViacomCBS to continue South Park and also do 14 South Park movies. Summit Family Restaurants, the previous owner of Casa Bonita, filed for Chapter 11 in April, so the sale is pending court approval which will take months.

“If it were up to us, we would have people in their right now working on it,” Parker said of plans to upgrade the restaurant.
