Space Jam: A New Legacy Trailer Arrives With a Slam Dunk

Welcome back to the Jam. The first trailer has finally arrived from Warner Bros. for Space Jam: A New Legacy. You can check out the trailer for the long-awaited sequel to Space Jam, starring NBA champion and global icon LeBron James, below.

The trailer offers a look at the film’s new villain, portrayed by Don Cheadle, along with LeBron and the Looney Tunes’ new basketball rivals, The Goon Squad.

The film stars James along with Don Cheadle, Cedric James, and Sonequa Martin-Green. It also features a host of NBA cameos like Damian Lillard, Anthony Davis, and Klay Thompson, plus WNBA stars Diana Taurasi and Chiney and Nneka Ogwumike. It hits theaters on July 16. It will also released on HBO Max for 31 days from theatrical release. Here’s a synopsis:

When basketball champion and global icon LeBron James and his young son Dom (Joe) – who dreams of being a video game developer – are trapped in a virtual space by a rogue algorithm named Al-G Rhythm (Cheadle), LeBron must get them home safe by leading Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, Lola Bunny and the whole gang of notoriously undisciplined Looney Tunes to victory over the Al-G’s digitized champions on the court.
