Sylvester Stallone Says He’s ‘Cooking Up’ The Next Expendables
Sylvester Stallone looks to be diving back into the world of The Expendables. Stallone posted to Twitter on Wednesday noting that the Fourth of July inspired him with ideas to “cook up the next adventure” in the franchise.
Stallone has been promising a fourth entry in the franchise since January of 2018, stating at that time that the mercenaries of the film series “are coming back.” The first three films have starred every action star from Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger to Jason Statham, Jet Li, Chuck Norris, Wesley Snipes, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Bruce Willis, and even Mel Gibson. While the first two were big hits at $274.5 million and $305.4 million worldwide, the third disappointed at $214.6 million.
There’s no word on which stars may come back for the new film.
