Tales From The Territories is set to air its debut on Vice TV on October 4, featuring a round table format with Jerry Lawler, Jeff Jarrett, Jerry Jarrett, Jimmy Hart and others. Promotional material for the first pair of episodes demonstrates a spotlight on the Memphis wrestling industry (per Vice TV). The pilot episode is titled Memphis: Where Wrestling Was Real with the following description:

In Memphis, the Mid-South Coliseum’s unique blend of slow-burn, story-driven matches and pre-MTV music video vignettes captivated audiences every week.

Andy Kaufman vs. The King of Memphis is the title of the second episode, described as:

One of the most infamous stories in wrestling lore, TV star Andy Kaufman traveled from Hollywood to Memphis to wrestle women, before facing off against King Jerry Lawler.

Recent casting call information (via eBOSS Canada) provide hints for the upcoming episodes for this season, naming the wrestling talent being cast for re-enactment scenes.

Episode 4 posted casting calls for The Brisco Brothers, Mike Graham, Hulk Hogan, Hiro Matsuda, Pat Patterson, Bob Roop, Kevin Sullivan, Barry Windham, a CWF referee with a similar look to Bill Alfonso) and others, suggesting a focus on Championship Wrestling from Florida. The casting for Episode 5 hints at a look at Stampede Wrestling with the call naming Andre the Giant, Dr. D, Bret Hart, Helen Hart, Smith Hart, Stu Hart, The Mongolian Stomper, and more. Clues also indicate at least one episode regarding Polynesian Pro Wrestling, the organization promoted by The Rock’s grandmother, with a casting call for a 15-year-old Dwayne Johnson as well as others of Polynesian descent.
