The Exorcist: Believer is set to possess Peacock at the start of next month. Peacock announced on Friday that the demonic horror film, a legacy sequel to the original Exorcist, will arrive on Peacock on December 1st.

Directed by David Gordon Green and launches as the first of a new trilogy, The Exorcist: Believer opened to negative reviews but has grossed $134.1 million thus far worldwide against a $30 million budget. The rights to the new trilogy cost Universal $400 million to secure; the next film, The Exorcist: Deceiver, is set for an April 18th, 2025 release.

Believer stars Leslie Odom Jr., Lidya Jewett, Olivia O’Neill, Jennifer Nettles, Norbert Leo Butz, and Ann Dowd, with an appearance by original star Ellen Burstyn. It is described as follows:

Since the death of his pregnant wife in a Haitian earthquake 12 years ago, Victor Fielding (Odom) has raised their daughter, Angela (Jewett) on his own.

But when Angela and her friend Katherine (O’Neill), disappear in the woods, only to return three days later with no memory of what happened to them, it unleashes a chain of events that will force Victor to confront the nadir of evil and, in his terror and desperation, seek out the only person alive who has witnessed anything like it before: Chris MacNeil.
