The top awards for this year’s SAG Awards have further set the stage for a likely two-film showdown at the Oscars. Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri won the top film award at the ceremony, taking home the honors for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.

Three Billboards’ win contrasts it against The Shape of Waters’ win at the Producers Guild Awards. The four Guild awards (SAG, PGA, Director’s Guild and Writer’s Guild) are among the biggest award shows for films to build momentum leading into the Academy Awards. The DGA and WGA awards take place next month. Three Billboards won the Golden Globe Award for Best Drama, with Lady Bird winning Best Musical/Comedy. But the Golden Globes are more likely to go against the grain of the Oscars, as it is voted on by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association and not industry professionals who vote in the Oscars.

The PGA Awards have predicted the Best Picture winner nineteen out of twenty-eight times, but has missed the last two years. The SAG Awards tend to be good predictors for individual winners. That’s good news for Gary Oldman (Best Actor for Darkest Hour), Frances McDormand (Best Actress for Three Billboards), Sam Rockwell (Best Supporting Actor for Three Billboards) and Allison Janney (Best Supporting Actress for I, Tonya). But it doesn’t always get Best Picture right. Still, the wins give Shape of Water and Billboards crucial momentum closer to the Oscars.

On the TV side, This Is Us and Veep won Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama and Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy, respectively. And Big Little Lies continued its awards domination with wins for Alexander Skarsgard and Nicole Kidman in the Limited/TV Movie categories. The full list of winners is below:
