Timothee Chalamet Takes On the Chocolate Cartel In First Trailer For Wonka

Timothee Chalemet is taking on an iconic role in Wonka, and the first trailer for the origin film is online. Warner Bros. released the first preview for the fantasy adventure film on Tuesday which you can check out below. The trailer gives a sense of the light-hearted and somewhat kooky tone of the film, which sees Chalamet take on the role of a young Willy Wonka as he tries to set up his magical chocolate business and finds himself up against the oppressive “Chocolate Cartel.”

The film stars Chalamet, Calah Lane, Keegan-Michael Key, Paterson Joseph, Matt Lucas, Mathew Baynton, Sally Hawkins, Rowan Atkinson, Jim Carter, Olivia Colman, Natasha Rothwell, Rich Fulcher, Rakhee Thakrar, Tom Davis, and Kobna Holdbrook-Smith and releases on December 15th. Directed by Paul King from a script he co-wrote with Simon Farnaby, it is described as follows:
