Titles Reportedly Revealed For Avatar Sequels

A new report purports to have the titles for the upcoming sequels to Avatar. The BBC reports that they’ve seen documentation for “future Avatar plans with four titles, matching the number of sequels that are in the works to the 2009 blockbuster.

According to the site, the projects are titled Avatar: The Way of Water, Avatar: The Seed Bearer, Avatar: The Tulkun Rider, and Avatar: The Quest for Eywa. If those titles are in order, The Way of Water could line up with James Cameron’s previous comments that “there’s a tremendous amount of water work across Avatar 2 and 3.”

The films are set for release on December 18, 2020; December 2021; December 2024; and December 2025. Cameron is set to direct the films, which will see much of the cast from the first film return.
