Tom Holland has confirmed that there have been conversations – but just that – about the future of Spider-Man following Spider-Man: No Way Home. Holland spoke with EW for a recent interview and clarified rumors about the future of the character in the MCU, noting that there have been some talks about it but that nothing is decided yet.

“We’ve had conversations about the potential future of Spider-Man, but at the moment they are conversations,” Holland told the outlet. “We don’t know what the future looks like.”

Holland himself said that he’s “not really thinking about the future … I’m riding the wave of the success of the film and enjoying that.”

The comments come after producer Amy Pascal said in November that No Way Home “is not the last movie that we are going to make with Marvel,” though she later clarified that nothing had been officially decided.

Spider-Man: No Way Home was the biggest hit of 2021 with $737.8 million domestically so far and $1.74 billion worldwide, which rank near the top of the all-time charts in both categories.
