Toy Story 4 LEADING THE WAY -- In Disney•Pixar’s “Toy Story 4,” Bonnie’s beloved new craft-project-turned-toy, Forky, declares himself trash and not a toy, so Woody takes it upon himself to show Forky why he should embrace being a toy. Featuring Tom Hanks as the voice of Woody, and Tony Hale as the voice of Forky, “Toy Story 4” opens in U.S. theaters on June 21, 2019. ©2019 Disney•Pixar. All Rights Reserved.

Disney and Pixar released the latest trailer today for Toy Story 4. You can check out the new video in the player below.

Additionally, Disney provided 411 with details on some of the new characters for Toy Story 4, the first of which is Gabby Gabby, voiced by Christina Hendricks, who is a talking pull-string doll from the 1950s. However, a production defect made her pull-string voice box sound anything but adorable. She has spent the last 50 years in an antique store, and her only companions are a band of voiceless ventriloquist dummies. Gabby Gabby now wants a working voice box in order to fix her own.

Director Josh Cooley stated on the character: “It became obvious right away that Christina was the perfect actress to play Gabby Gabby. She has the ability to sound inviting and friendly, then subtly become cold and terrifying in just a few words. It still gives me chills when I see Gabby’s introduction in the film. Also, Christina told me that she preferred playing with ventriloquist dummies over dolls as a kid. That’s when I knew it was meant to be.”

Next up is Duke Caboom, voiced by Keanu Reeves. Kaboom is a 1970s toy based on “Canada’s Greatest Stuntman.” Duke is known for showing off his stunt poses on his Caboom Stunt-cycle. However, Woody later learns that Caboom has never been able to do the stunts advertised in his own toy commercial. Duke has been sitting in an antique store and constantly reliving the failures of his past.

Producer Jonas Rivera commented on Keanu Reeves joining the cast: “The first time Josh [Cooley] and I talked with Keanu about the role, Keanu became Duke Caboom. Keanu was asking great questions that dug deep to find the soul of the character. At one point he stood up on the table in the middle of Pixar’s atrium and struck poses while proclaiming victory. It was so funny. It’s all in the movie and it’s all Keanu.”

Another new character is Giggles McDimples, voiced Ally Maki. She is described as Bo Peep’s best friend, confidant, supporter, and advisor. Cooley commented: “Giggle is Bo’s Jiminy Cricket—we’re able to get insight on Bo through their relationship together. Giggle is definitely the smallest toy in the Toy Story universe. She’s been stepped on, vacuumed up, and probably put up a kid’s nose in her time.”

He added on Ally Maki, “Giggle McDimples literally pops on the screen because of Ally’s personality and infectious energy. Nobody can laugh like Ally Maki.”

The upcoming sequel wwill arrive in theaters on June 21. It was directed by Josh Cooley and features the voices of Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Annie Potts, Joan Cusack, Blake Clark, Wallace Shawn, John Ratzenberger, Estelle Harris, Jodi Benson, Michael Keaton, Jeff Pidgeon, Kristen Schaal, Bonnie Hunt, Timothy Dalton, Jeff Garlin, Laurie Metcalf, Lori Alan, Patricia Arquette, Keanu Reeves, Jordan Peele, Keegan-Michael Key and Tony Hale. Here’s a synopsis for Toy Story 4:

“Woody has always been confident about his place in the world and that his priority is taking care of his kid, whether that’s Andy or Bonnie. But when Bonnie adds a reluctant new toy called “Forky” to her room, a road trip adventure alongside old and new friends will show Woody how big the world can be for a toy.”
