Trailer For Notorious B.I.G. Murder Drama City of Lies Released

Global Road Entertainment has released the first trailer for City of Lies, the crime-drama about the unsolved murder of Notorious B.I.G. You can see the trailer below for the film, which stars Johnny Depp, Forest Whitaker, Rockmond Dunbar, Neil Brown Jr., Xander Berkeley, and Shea Whigham. It opens on September 7th.

Based on the book LAbyrinth by Randall Sullivan, City of Lies takes alook at the investigation of Notorious B.I.G.’s murder. L.A.P.D. detective Russell Poole (Depp) has spent years trying to solve his biggest case, but after two decades, the investigation remains open. “Jack” Jackson (Whitaker), a reporter desperate to save his reputation and career, is determined to find out why. In search of the truth, the two team up and unravel a growing web of institutional corruption and lies. Relentless in their hunt, these two determined men threaten to uncover the conspiracy and crack the foundation of the L.A.P.D. and an entire city.
