Master of None Season Three

Aziz Ansari’s Master of None is returning to Netflix at last for its third season, and the first trailer reveals its release date. Netflix released the official trailer for the series’ third run, which will star Lena Waithe and Naomi Ackie. The show will launch on May 23rd, four years after season two premiered.

The new season is directed by Ansari from scripts he co-wrote with Waithe and is fully titled Master of None Presents: Moments in Love. The show is described as “modern love story that intimately illustrates the ups and downs of marriage, struggles with fertility, and personal growth both together and apart. Fleeting romantic highs meet crushing personal losses while existential questions of love and living are raised.”

Ansari, who starred as Dev in the first two seasons, will appear in the new season. Waithe will play Denise, the character who has appeared throughout the show and was the centered character of the season two episode “Thanksgiving.” That episode earned an Emmy for Ansari and Waithe for Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series.
