Train to Busan Remake Last Train to New York Gets 2023 Release

Warner Bros. has scheduled its Train to Busan remake, The Last Train to New York, for 2023. Deadline reports that the studio has set an April 21st, 2023 release date for the zombie film remake.

The Last Train to New York is directed by Timo Tjahjanto from a script by Gary Dauberman. It is based on the South Korean action-horror film, which centers on a bullet train travelling from Seoul to Busan amid a zombie outbreak that overwhelms the country and threatens the passengers of the train. It was a huge hit for Next Entertainment World with $98.5 million grossed worldwide against a $9.5 million budget and has spawned an animated prequel The Crucible as well as a standalone sequel, Peninsula, which arrived in 2020.
