Transformers: Power of the Primes

The new animated web series, Transformers: Power of the Prime officially launches today. The show comes courtesy of Hasbro and Machinima. You can also check out the latest trailer for the series and the video for the first episode below.

The show marks the third and final chapter of the Transformers: Prime Wars Trilogy. The show will feature weekly 10 episodes running approximately 11 minutes per episode.

The show features an all-star cast including Mark Hamill as Megatronus, Ron Perlman as Optimus Primal, Jaime King as Solus Prime, Gregg Berger as Grimlock/Volcanicus, WWE Superstar Samoa Joe as Predaking, and Mikey Way as Snarl. Judd Nelson also voices the new character Rodimus Cron. Wil Wheaton portrays Perceptor, and Rob Dyke voices Devastator. Here’s an official synopsis for the new show:

After Megatronus eliminates Optimus Prime and claims the Matrix of Leadership and Enigma of Combination for himself, the other Transformers bots look to Megatron to lead the charge against their diabolical foe. Unbeknownst to them, Megatronus’ pursuit of the next ancient artifact, the Requiem Blaster, goes beyond his desire for power and the search will uncover mysterious secrets from Cybertron’s past. Before the TRANSFORMERS: PRIME WARS TRILOGY concludes, a new Prime will ascend and all will bear witness to the true POWER OF THE PRIMES.

The show is executive produced by showrunner FJ DeSanto. It’s written by DeSanto, Adam Beechen and Jamie Iracleanos. The series is directed by YUZO. Animation for the show is being overseen by Tatsunoko Productions.

Transformers: Power of the Primes is available on go90 in the United States and Tumblr for the rest of the world, with the exception of Sohu.com in China.
