The Batman Part II is getting a year-long delay, with Warner Bros. pushing the Matt Reeves sequel to October 2026. Deadline reports that the sequel to the Robert Pattinson-led hit will now release on October 2nd, 2026 instead of its original October 3rd, 2025 date.

The report cites last year’s strikes as the reason for the move, as films continue to settle into new spots on the calender. The move also gives the film some distance from Superman which is set to release on July 11th, 2025. Reeves’ Batman films are not part of the new DC Universe’s continuity and DC Studios has a DC Universe Batman film, Batman: Brave and the Bold, coming with Andy Muschietti directing. Pattinson will not play the role in that film but will reprise his role in The Batman Part II.

The Batman released in January of 2022 and grossed $766 million worldwide against a $200 million budget.
