Warner Bros. Developing Supergirl Film

Warner Bros. and DC Films are developing a Supergirl film. Deadline reports that Oren Uziel (22 Jump Street) is set to write the film, which does not yet have a director.

Supergirl is a star of DC’s television properties, with Melissa Benoist starring in the CW series that is part of the Arrowverse — although existing in a different part of the multiverse than those of Arrow, The Flash and the Legends of Tomorrow. There was also an ill-fated film based on the character, which was released in 1984 and starred Helen Slater as the titular character.

At this time, there’s no word on whether Henry Cavill would make an appearance in the film.
