Warner Bros. Moves Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom Back Two Days

Warner Bros has given Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom another release date change — but not much of one. Deadline reports that the DC sequel has been bumped by the studio from December 20th to December 22nd, moving the film from a Wednesday to a Friday. The film is opening over the holiday weekend and the studio seems to have decided to consolidate all its opening grosses into the weekend rather than spread it out.

The report also notes that Wise Guys, the mobster film starring Robert De Niro from Barry Levinson, has been pushed back and renamed. The film, which is written by Goodfellas co-scribe Nicholas Pileggi, has been redubbed Alto Knights and has been moved from February 2nd, 2024 to November 15th, 2024 due to the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike.

Alto Knights stars De Niro as both Vito Genovese and Frank Costello, mob bosses from New York in the 1950s who competed for dominance. Debra Messing, Kathrine Narducci, and Cosmo Jarvis co-star in the film.
