Warner Bros. Sets Release Date For Doctor Sleep, Moves Three Others

Coming Soon reports that Warner Bros. has set release dates for three films, with two of them getting moved to new dates.

The first is Doctor Sleep, the sequel to The Shining based on the book by Stephen King. It will be directed by Mike Flanagan (Gerald’s Game). The film arrives on January 24, 2020.

Godzilla 2, which had been set for March 22, 2019, has now been pushed back to a summer date of May 31. It will be directed by Michael Dougherty.

The Six-Billion Dollar Man, which recently lost its director, has been pushed back an entire year from May 31, 2019 to June 5, 2020. The film will star Mark Wahlberg.

Finally, Crazy Rich Asians has been moved up from August 17, 2019 to August 15. It was directed by Jon M. Chu and stars Constance Wu, Gemma Chan, Lisa Lu, and Awkwafina, with Ken Jeong and Michelle Yeoh.
