Wicked: For Good Official Trailer Showcases the Next Chapter of Elphaba’s Story

Universal Pictures debuted the official trailer and poster this week for Wicked: For Good, the next and final chapter in the Wicked saga, the untold story of the witches of Oz. You can check out the newly revealed trailer below.

The story beings with Elphaba and Glinda now estranged and living with the consequences of their choices. Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo) has now been demonized as the Wicked Witch of the West, living in exile in the Ozian forest, while also fighting for the freedom of Oz’s silenced Animals. She desperately attempts to expose the truth she knows about The Wizard (Jeff Goldblum).

Glinda becomes the glamorous symbol of Goodness for all of Oz, living at the palace in Emerald City and reveling in her newfound fame and popularity. Under the order of Madame Morrible (Michelle Yeoh), Glinda serves as comfort to the citizens of Oz, reassuring that The Wizard remains in power. After a girl from Kansas lands in Oz, Glinda and Elphaba will have to come together one last time time if they are to change themselves and Oz for good.

Jon M. Chu returns to direct the feature, based on the stage play music and lyrics by legendary Grammy and Oscar winning composer and lyricist Stephen Schwartz and book by Winnie Holzman, from the bestselling novel by Gregory Maguire. The screenplay is by Winnie Holzman and Dana Fox.

Wicked: For Good arrives in theaters on November 21.
