Patty Jenkins’ Star Wars: Rogue Squadron officially has a writer. Deadline reports that Matt Robinson (Love and Monsters, Black Box) has signed on to script the upcoming film, which was announced back in December at Disney’s Investor Day presentation.

Plot details aren’t yet known for the film, which will focus on a new generation of starfighter pilots as they earn their wings and risk their lives on a mission. The movie is currently set for a December 22nd, 2023 premiere, with production set for next year.

Robinson recently wrote the scripts for the upcoming Edge of Tomorrow sequel Live Die Repeat and Repeat, as well as the planned Little Shop of Horrors remake.
