Zach Cregger’s Resident Evil Teaser Trailer Debuts Online

Sony Pictures has revealed the first trailer for Zach Cregger’s upcoming theatrical reboot of the Resident Evil film franchise. Cregger’s new vision will be hitting theaters later this September. You can check out the newly revealed trailer below.
In the all-new story, a medical courier, Bryan (Austin Abrams), unwittingly finds himself in an action-packed, non-stop race for survival, as one fateful, horrifying night collapses around him in chaos. Cregger revealed earlier that the new movie will feature an original story set within the iconic game world, developed and published by Capcom.
The footage suggests Bryan finds himself trapped in Raccoon City during the middle of the T-Virus outbreak, as depicted in the second and third video games. Cregger was on hand to debut the new teaser trailer earlier this month at CinemaCon.
Zach Cregger directs the feature from a script he co-wrote with Shay Hatten. The reboot also stars Zach Cherry, Kali Reis, and Paul Walter Hauser. Resident Evil hits theaters on September 18.
