Hello Folx! We are in Arena Monterrey in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico, for night one of Noche de Los Grandes. Night two will be next week, but I will have predictions for both weeks today. And honestly, I don’t like them splitting stuff up like this. I know it’s to fit it all in the hour of TV they have. But it makes my job slightly annoying.

But that isn’t a huge problem, and I’m excited for this event. We are, hopefully, going to have a conclusion to one of the best feuds of the year. Add to that three championship matches and a six-woman tag team match, and we are looking at a stacked card.

So, let’s do the quick rundown before the full preview! For night one, we have Rey Fénix taking on Laredo Kid in a rematch for the World Cruiserweight Championship! The War Raiders take on Pagano & Psycho Clown for the World Tag Team Championships! El Hijo del Vikingo wants gold, and he is ready to go through El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr for the Latin American Championship! And in our main event, El Grand Americano takes on “The Original” El Grande Americano in a Lucha de Apuestas, where the loser will have to unmask!

And on night 2, we will see La Catalina, Lola Vice, and Bayley take on Las Toxicás (Flammer, La Hiedra, and Maravilla) in a Six-Woman Tag Team match!

Week 1

AAA World Tag Team Championships
The War Raiders (Erik & Ivar) vs Pagano & Psycho Clown

The War Raiders have been feuding with Pagano and Psycho Clown since before Rey de Reyes. At Rey de Reyes, the two teams brawled to a double DQ. Psycho Clown and Pagano have also had some tension lately. With Pagano not helping out when Erik interfered in a match that Psycho Clown had with Ivar. The War Raiders also made it look like Pagano was attacking other members of Los Psycho Circus. Only to use the tension to attack Psycho Clown.

With the tension building between Pagano and Psycho Clown, it looks like The War Raiders may be able to add another Tag Team Championship to their impressive resume. Psycho Clown and Pagano have done a great job as champions since winning them at TripleMania XXXIII. But it might be time for some new champions.

The War Raiders would work well as a monster team, a challenge for a strong technico team to overcome. While the build has been for Pagano to turn on Psycho Clown, I could see them switching it up. Pagano can take the fall here, and then Los Psycho Circus can do a beatdown in the coming weeks. That would give us a huge feud through the Summer leading up to TripleMania XXXIV in August.

Meanwhile, War Raiders can feud with The Aztec Warriors, Bravo & Rayo, and Los Garza.

Winner and new AAA World Tag Team Champions: The War Raiders.

AAA Latin American Championship
El Hijo del Vikingo vs El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr.

El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. has had an amazing year. After winning the AAA Latin American Championship, he had a great feud with Ethan Page, with the two men trading wins and putting on bangers in AAA and NXT.

Vikingo probably wishes he had a better year. After the fans turned on him, he still tried to carry on as AAA Mega Champion. But after losing the title to Dominik Mysterio, he also lost the feud and his ability to challenge for the Mega Championship.

Now fully rudo, with Dorian Roldán and Omos at his side, he has set his sights on the Latin American Championship.

I do not doubt that these two will give us an amazing match. Both men are extremely talented in the ring, and there is no reason to believe it won’t be more of the same. While I do think we will see Vikingo win the Latin American Championship, I don’t think it’s tonight.

I can see Dr. Wagner Jr. getting elevated to the Mega Championship division and mixing it up with Dom and El Grande Americano. But that won’t be until after TripleMania. Which is where I think we will see Vikingo win the belt. So, for tonight, I am expecting a great match, some sort of interference by Omos, and El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. will be able to get the win in the end.

Winner and still AAA Latin American Champion: El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr.

AAA World Cruiserweight Championship
Rey Fénix vs Laredo Kid

Speaking of two amazingly talented wrestlers, this could be the sleeper hit of the night. Rey Fénix is getting a chance to show everyone he deserves the same attention as his brother. He has been wasted on SmackDown, and a run as the World Cruiserweight Champion would help to rehabilitate his image. And then move him to Raw, please.

Laredo Kid has done a great job as champion, but after 540ish days as champion, it’s time for someone new to take the throne.

The build-up to the match has shown that Kid is having to resort to underhanded tactics to keep the title. He ended up having to low blow Rey to win in their match the other week, and that’s how we got this match. This match is going to be balls-to-the-wall action, with two of the best luchadores going at it for the title. And while the Mask vs Mask match is the marquee match, and the one that everyone is ready for. I think this match is the one I’m most excited to see.

Winner and new AAA World Cruiserweight Champion: Rey Fénix

Lucha de Apuestas Máscara contra Máscara match
“The Original” El Grande Americano vs El Grande Americano

A match that’s been building since OG went out with an injury last year. We all knew we’d get here once El Grande Americano showed up as a replacement. The added elements of Rayo & Bravo and Los Americanos Hermanos mean this will be a chaotic match with bodies everywhere.

If Americano hadn’t spent 2025 getting massively over in Mexico, I’d say the winner of this match would be more up in the air. But now the only real wrench in the plan is the legal issues that Kaiser recently found himself involved in. While stuff like that hasn’t stopped someone from getting pushed before. And they’ve allowed him to travel for work; it remains to be seen how much fallout there will be over this.

With all that said, I am still going with El Grande Americano for the win here. OG has played his course and was probably supposed to be unmasked months ago. But the injury put a pause on those plans. And honestly, I’m glad it did. While I’m not glad he was hurt, I’m glad because we got El Grande Americano and a much better story out of it. The build-up to the match has also been great, with one of the best pull-apart brawls we’ve seen in a while. And excellent work on both sides. I’m looking forward to the match and to finally seeing who OG is!

Winner: El Grande Americano

Week 2

Lucha de Relevos Australianos
La Catalina, Lola Vice, and Bayley vs Las Toxicás (Flammer, La Hiedra, and Maravilla)

I’m not sure if they are going to add more matches to night 2; if they do, I’ll make a second preview. But for now, this is the only match announced. This match has been building for a while now. Flammer is constantly finding ways to hold onto her title. And while it seems odd that Nattie and Faby Apache are no longer a part of this, I’m down for this team for the technicos.

We have the hot new signing in La Catalina, the NXT Women’s Champion, Lola Vice, and the veteran Bayley. Not a bad team at all. I could see Catalina or Vice being the one to finally dethrone Flammer, and so a win here with one of them getting the pin makes a lot of sense. And that’s the way I’m going here, a win for the technico team.

It just makes sense to build up future matches and show that Las Toxicás aren’t invincible. This will be another chaotic match with bodies everywhere. And it should be a fun watch; I don’t see the need to make an entirely second night just for this match. So, unless we get more matches added before then, I feel like this could have headlined a weekly episode of AAA instead.

Winners: La Catalina, Lola Vice, and Bayley
