411’s WWE RAW Talk Report: Shayna Baszler Puts Women’s Division on Notice, More

-Happy Labor Day! Around 3 AM I finished my recap of the new Peacock documentary on Kurt Angle. You can find that review here. Now, it’s all about RAW Talk. Let’s get to it!

-Megan Morant welcomes us to the show and she is joined by Matt Camp. Payback Fallout: Judgment Day are our new Tag Team Champions. Lynch and Trish killed it inside a steel cage and John Cena served as the host of the show. Camp notes Cena was kind of on RAW tonight. More on that later!

-Megan brings up that Jey Uso is the newest member of RAW. To the video as Jey Uso and Sami Zayn have a reunion. Sami gives Jey his props for breaking free from The Bloodline and he is proud of him. Crowd: “Hug it out.” Sami goes to leave and Jey stops him, says “Ucey,” and they hug each other. Drew McIntyre is out for his match and he stares down Jey until Sami convinces him to head to the ring. Riddle isn’t happy to see Jey either!

-Megan brings up the news that SmackDown is going to be compensated with someone from RAW after losing Jey. That is interesting and credit to them for trying to keep some kind of rules in place. Now who from RAW could use a change of scenery? My first thought is that is a way to get Cody on SmackDown so he can finish his story.

-To the video as McRiddle took on The Viking Raiders in a Tornado Tag Match. Kofi gets involved and accidentally hits Riddle with Trouble in Paradise. That lets The Raiders put Riddle through a table to get the win.

-The Viking Raiders and Valhalla are backstage with some words. They have to keep giving sacrifices and will not stop until the hunger of the Gods is satisfied.

-Shayna Baszler and JD McDonagh/Balor still to come!

-NXT tomorrow night! Maybe they should look into signing that hyped free agent Phil Brooks. Wonder what name the NXT name generator would come up for him?

-To the video as Shayna Baszler is back and she gets a win over Zoey Stark. I was actually surprised by the result because Shayna was given the in ring introduction and Zoey is coming off standing up to Trish, but Shayna gets the needed win. This was the right call as they need to keep building Shayna after the Rousey win.

-Jackie Redmond is backstage with Shayna. Shayna notes it was a tougher match than she expected, and Zoey earned her respect. She has beaten her twice and sent Ronda packing as well. She is fixing to run through the entire roster, limb by limb.

-To the video where Seth Rollins is ready to give Nakamura another World Title Match, but wanted tonight on RAW. Nakamura says no, so Rollins wants a fight. “Whether you like it or not, you are about to get that work son.” That made me laugh for some reason. Nakamura lands Kinshasa to the injured back and Ricochet is out to make the save.

-To the video as Ricochet and Nakamura have a solid match. Ricochet gets the win by DQ as he blasts Ricochet in the back with a chair. Rollins is back out and he gets the upper hand for a few moments before Nakamura sends him back first into the steps. Ricochet makes the save again, but with a chair this time.

-Megan and Camp discuss Seth’s back issues and now everyone knows she there will always be a target on his back.

-McDonagh and Balor next!

-Fastlane! Oct 7! Indianapolis!

-To the video as we join McDonagh vs. Zayn in progress. Dirty Prison Dom gets involved which lets JD pick up a tainted win with a hand full of tights on a roll-up. Dom then gets his ass beat by Sami after the match. JD tries to make the save, but Sami drops him with a Helluva Kick as well.

-Jackie is backstage with JD and Finn Balor. JD notes the biggest win of his career was this past Saturday when Finn became a Grand Slam Champion. Finn notes JD has been stepping up the last few weeks and he believes in him. They are off to have JD’s jaw checked after The Helluva Kick.

-Camp and Megan discuss the dynamic of JD being with The Judgment Day.

-To the video as GUNTHER and Chad Gable had a wonderful match to close the show. This was GUNTHER’S last defense before breaking Honky Tonk Man’s record. They suplexed the crap out of each other. That head and neck suplex on Gable was nasty! GUNTHER retains with a lariat and makes Chad’s daughter cry. I am glad they went all the way with GUNTHER getting this record. Shout-out to Honky Tonk Man as well though.

-Plug for The Bump: Damian Priest and Finn Balor are guests this week!

-Megan wraps things up and we are out this week. Thanks for reading!
