AEW star Queen Aminata is reportedly set to be back on the road following several months of inactivity due to injury-related issues. In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (WON), Dave Meltzer noted that Aminata is expected to return this week.
Queen Aminata has been away from in-ring duties since October 2025 due to a neck injury. She was originally slated to compete in the inaugural Women’s Blood & Guts Match but was pulled from it due to the injury.
She has since been providing regular updates on her recovery status via YouTube vlogs. In her latest vlog, Aminata provided the latest update, revealing that she hopes to return to in-ring action pretty soon.
“So, I was supposed to fly on Tuesday to go to TV in LA to get my neck checked and all that stuff cuz I did my MRI and everything is looking good. Not great. Good. So, I hope to be back pretty soon. So, Doc changed my schedule, and I won’t be back at TV until the 25th in Denver. Hopefully, everything looks good so I can get back in the ring and start rolling around, picking that first bump, which is very, very scary. Like, I don’t know why I’m freaking out about it. Like, I’ve been doing this for almost 10 years, and bro, taking a bump is scary. Especially when you get hurt, and you come back, they’re like, ‘Oh yeah, take your first bump.’ I don’t care what anybody says. To me, it is freaking nerve-wracking,” she said.
Aminata last competed on the October 29, 2025, episode of Dynamite, where she and Jamie Hayter unsuccessfully challenged The Sisters of Sin (Julia Hart and Skye Blue) in the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Title Tournament Quarterfinals. You can check out her comments below:
