AJ Francis picked up a win against his rival Elijah inside the steel cage to kick off the return of TNA Lockdown. Sunday’s PPV kicked off with the two feuding members of the roster doing battle. Like all TNA Lockdown matches, the bout was held in a steel cage.

The 13 and a half minute match saw Frances get the first hit in, though Elijah quickly battled back. Francis looked to hit the Down Payment a couple of times early on but Elijah kept countering and hit a sunset bomb for two at one point.

Elijah went to the top of the case and Francis followed, leading to a battle until Elijah hit a superplex from the top of the cage. Francis’ manager Expressions returned in a wheelchair and distracted Elijah, which allowed Francis to get back in control. However, Expressions got involved a couple of more times and while Elijah took the manager down with the Highwayman’s Farewell, that left him open to a a moonsault and the Down Payment for a Francis win.

You can see clips from the match below. After the match, Elijah came off the top with a guitar shot to a celebrating Francis.
