Alberto El Patron Released After Domestic Violence Arrest

Alberto El Patron is free following his arrest on domestic violence charges in Mexico after settling with his victim. As noted, the WWE, AAA, and TNA alumnus was arrested last Monday after his wife made an emergency call and reported that she was a victim of domestic abuse.

According to Milenio, Patron was formally charged repeated domestic violence but was released after reaching a financial settlement with his wife to the tune of 1.13 million pesos (about $65,000).

The report notes that the judge found there was sufficient evidence for trial. However, El Patron’s defense suggested an agreement. As part of said agreement, Parton must attend rehabilitation therapy, pay for the damage and not have contact with the victim. Patron must compley over a six-year period and a compliance hearing is set for October 29th. The case will stay under judicial supervision until the conditions are completed.

Patron was suspended by Mexican promotion The Crash following his arrest, which also came less than a month after Patron launched a new wrestling promotion in Mexico, LM52, alongside Dr. Wagner Jr.

Patron has previously been accused of domestic violence by past partners including Saraya and was charged with four counts of sexual assault and one of aggravated kidnapping for on allegations that he assaulted a woman after accusing her of infidelity, forced her to “wear a dress and dance for him,” and eventually violently sexually assaulted her over a period of 16 hours. The charges were dropped in December of 2021, reportedly after a witness went missing.

According to the outlet, El Patron was facing one to seven years in prison on the charges.
