El Patron was handed over the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for Attention to Women, Family and Sexual Crimes following his arrest. Media outlet Milenio reported on Twitter that Patron will remain in preventive detention following his arrest.
The report notes that a control judge made the ruling to keep Patron in detention after he was formally charged by the State General Prosecutor’s Office with family violence. It notes that the incident took place on Monday in the Lomas del Tec neighborhood and that police detained him “right at the moment” he was assulting the victim, who had visible injuries on her face and arms.
Patron has been suspended by Mexican promotion The Crash. The arrest come less than a month after Patron launched a new wrestling promotion in Mexico, LM52, alongside Dr. Wagner Jr. He has previously been accused of domestic violence by past partners including Saraya and was charged with four counts of sexual assault and one of aggravated kidnapping for on allegations that he assaulted a woman after accusing her of infidelity, forced her to “wear a dress and dance for him,” and eventually violently sexually assaulted her over a period of 16 hours. The charges were dropped in December of 2021, reportedly after a witness went missing.
