Backstage MLW Notes on Josef Samael’s Return, Plans To Bring in More Female Talents

– Fightful Select has a group of new backstage notes for Major League Wrestling (MLW) on recent returns and upcoming plans. According to the report, the recent return of Josef Samael, where he threw a fireball in the face of Mads Krule Krugger was Krule’s final MLW match, with the wrestler exiting the promotion.

Additionally, it’s said that “The Serpent” storyline was always meant to pay off with Samael being revealed at the opportune moment. It’s also said that MLW wanted to wait to rebuild CONTRA Unit, which would likely take some time. Samael had already returned to the promotion behind the scenes last fall, and he’d been working as the head of talent relations.

– Fightful also reports that MLW is said to be in active talks with top female wrestlers to join the promotion, as MLW seeks to bolster its women’s division. MLW has been regularly bringing in Joshi talents as well.

– Austin Aries has recently been appearing in Mexico at CMLL for MLW. Also, CJ, the son of Doc Gallows, is reportedly expected to make his MLW debut soon.
