Backstage Note on Whereabouts of Yuka Sakazaki

During this week’s edition of the Fightful Select Answers Q&A, a user asked a question about the whereabouts of AEW and ROH wrestler, Yuka Sakazaki, who is also married to AEW star Konosuke Takeshita. About two years ago, there was some confusion about her AEW status due to her being removed from the company roster page, but that was in error, and her profile was later restored.

Yuka Sakazaki has not wrestled a match on AEW TV in over a year, last appearing on the January 29, 2025 edition of Dynamite, losing to Mercedes Moone in a bout for the TBS Title. She did appear on ROH TV multiple times later in the year, last wrestling on the December 4, 2025 edition of HonorClub TV.

In the Q&A, Sapp explained that Sakazaki has still been residing in the United States, and she’s been in attendance backstage at the AEW shows that Takeshita has worked. Sapp added that he hasn’t heard of Sakazaki being sidelined with any injuries.

“The Magical Girl” wrestler is still currently listed as a member of the AEW roster. As previously reported, Konosuke Takeshita and Yuka Sakazaki announced that they got married in May of last year.
