Backstage Notes on Steven Borden’s Scary Moment at AEW All Out 2026

As previously reported, Steven Borden is reportedly “okay” following his scary landing after a dive spot that was attempted last weekend at AEW All Out 2026. He and Darby Allin teamed up against The Don Callis Family’s Kevin Knight and Kyle Fletcher.

Borden, the son of WWE Hall of Famer and former AEW wrestler Sting, was attempting a coast-to-coast dive at the same time as Kevin Knight. Borden landed hard on the back of his head after the attempt. Sean Ross Sapp had more details and the spot leading to his injury in the latest edition of Fightful Select Answers Q&A.

According to Sapp, the word is that Borden was keen to perform the spot in the match. It’s also said that other people in the match were concerned after the accident took place, but Sapp noted the situation turned out as best as possible in light of what happened. Sapp also noted that Borden will be back in the ring in the coming weeks as long as he’s feeling good.

As noted, Dave Meltzer reported on today’s Wrestling Observer Radio that Borden is able to fly home following his hospitalization. There’s no word yet if Steven Borden will be appearing on tomorrow’s Dynamite or this weekend’s live edition of AEW Collision.
