As previously reported, WWE Hall of Famer and former creative team member Brian James (aka Road Dogg) was backstage at TNA Slammiversary over the weekend, with talk being that TNA was ironing out his deal to join the promotion’s creative team. PWInsider has more details on the matter.
According to the update, Road Dogg was not in attendance at last night’s Thursday Night iMPACT! TV tapings in Albany, New York, and it’s said that he’s not backstage for tonight’s second set of TV tapings either. TNA and James are reportedly still working out his deal to join the company.
Additionally, it’s said that their discussions are still moving forward, but the process did not involve Road Dogg attending this week’s TV tapings. TNA’s next set of TV tapings is scheduled for July 30 and 31 at the Liacouras Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Brian James parted ways with WWE earlier this year after voluntarily quitting the promotion.
