Fightful Select has an update on indie wrestlers Notorious Mimi and Airica Demia potentially going to WWE. It was initially reported by Fightful Select that Mimi and Demia were attending WWE’s January tryouts. However, Fightful later issued a correction noting that wasn’t the case, and instead the two were recently training at Nattie’s Dungeon.
Fightful reports that although it was initially believed they were part of January tryouts, it’s said that both wrestlers are being “actively recruited.” It’s also said that Demia is “confirmed” for a tryout session next week.
Additionally, Mimi has since confirmed her upcoming WWE tryout on her Instagram account, writing earlier today, “redemption arc loading🤍 @wwerecruit”
Mimi has been active since 2019 and was trained by Monster Factory’s Danny Cage. She previously wrestled in WWE NXT as Sloane Jacobs. However, she was released after seven months. Demia is a three-year pro and was trained by Palmetto Wrestling Academy’s Ethan Case.
The report notes additional names under consideration for WWE tryouts, including Nikki Blackheart and Fallyn Grey. Blackheart has competed in CCW and AAA. Fallyn Grey has wrestled in AWF, FSW, and DREAMWAVE X.
Fightful also notes that an additional unnamed talent is likely to receive a tryout that the outlet is looking to confirm.
