During a recent interview with The Sal Licata Show ahead of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, Brie Bella discussed how supportive her husband, former WWE Champion Bryan Danielson, has been for her WWE and in-ring return. Bella noted that because Danielson is now “retired from the in-ring,” it’s allowed her to focus on her comeback, while Danielson helps train her and take care of their kids. Below are some highlights:
Brie Bella on Bryan Danielson Supporting Her for Her WWE & In-Ring Return
“Well, for me, I’m lucky because my husband’s so supportive. And because he retired from in-ring, it gave me the opportunity to come back. And when he when I started to realize his schedule, I was like, I really want to make a comeback. Obviously, I want you to be my coach. I really want to train hard. It’s going to be a lot of work, but will you be able to deal with the schedule? And he was like, yes, 100%. So, I honestly couldn’t do it without him. Um, I feel so blessed. So, he’s been picking up all those like times when it was just the kids and I, you know, and it’s funny cuz I’m like, you’re like Pinterest at like he’s crushing it. The homemade meals, the fun snacks, the arts and crafts. He’s like doing a great job. But honestly, I couldn’t do it without his support because he allows me to come out here and do what I love.”
On a Potential Singles Run Before She Retires
“I would love that. You know, like being with Paige has been one of the greatest blessings. I was really bummed out when Nikki broke her ankle, especially it was two weeks before WrestleMania. I was like, “Oh, no.” But then having Paige step in, being my tag partner, cuz we’ve been like sisters. It’s crazy. With WWE, you’re always going to be part of this family. But Paige, we go way back. Been blessed with that. But I would love to do a single run. I would love to go for one of the titles. Whatever title that I could fit into. I mean, I think that’s the way you end it.”
During last weekend’s Saturday Night’s Main Event, Fatal Influence defeated Brie Bella and Paige to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles.
