Britt Baker has joined the growing list of wrestlers taking part in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, showing her support for longtime friend Rebel following her terminal ALS diagnosis.

Baker completed the challenge after being nominated earlier this month by Shawn Dean, who shared his own Ice Bucket Challenge video and called on Baker, Carlie Bravo, and The Gunns to participate next.

In Baker’s video, Rebel and Gail Kim stood beside her as she accepted the challenge. Kim and Rebel then poured a bucket of ice water over Baker as part of the awareness campaign, adding her name to the growing wrestling community effort in support of Rebel.

The challenge gained momentum after Rebel, whose real name is Tanea Brooks, revealed in May that she had been diagnosed with terminal ALS. Since then, several wrestlers have taken part in the viral campaign to help raise awareness for the disease and show their support.

After completing the challenge, Britt Baker nominated several names to keep the campaign going. She called out Chris Jericho, Renee Paquette with Jon Moxley, The Young Bucks, Adam Cole, Kris Statlander, Orange Cassidy, and Thunder Rosa to take part next.

“🧊🪣ALS ICE BUCKET CHALLENGE I nominate @IAmJericho, @ReneePaquette, @youngbucks, @AdamColePro, @callmekrisstat, @orangecassidy, @thunderrosa22 Let’s show our girl @RebelTanea we have her back on spreading awareness for ALS Head over to @iamalsorg for more info on ALS or how to donate! http://IAMALS.org(Thanks @gailkimITSME! 🫶)”

The Ice Bucket Challenge has become one of several ways wrestlers have rallied around Rebel since her diagnosis. Along with participating in the challenge, many have shared messages of support to help raise awareness of ALS. AEW has also publicly shown its support for Rebel throughout her health battle.

Britt Baker and Rebel have been close friends for years, making her participation especially meaningful.
