Bronson Reed has officially undergone surgery for his distal bicep tear, revealing the news on social media. As noted, Reed suffered the injury on WWE Raw in his Elimination Chamber triple threat qualifying match when he dove to break up a pinfall attempt, then rolled out of the ring. Reed did not return to the match, which Jey Uso won by pinning El Grande Americano.
Reed posted on his Instagram account to note that he underwent the surgey, sharing a photo of himself in the hospital bed post-surgery. He wrote in the post:
“Surgery done.
Tomorrow is DAY ONE.
The road back.
#BRONSONREED”
Reed had been factored into WrestleMania plans creatively, and WWE is reportedly having to change up their plans now that he is out of action. It’s not yet clear exactly what the plans were for Reed heading for WrestleMania, which takes place on April 18th and 19th at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.
On behalf of 411, our best wishes to Reed for a quick and full recovery.
