Callum Newman Gives Update On Injury Status Ahead of NJPW G1 Climax

Callum Newman has provided an update on his injury status following his shoulder dislocation in a match last month. As noted previously, Newman suffered the injury during his match with Yota Tsuji at NJPW Dominion on June 15th.

Newman posted to his Instagram stories on Thursday with a blurry selfie which he captioned:

“Dislocated shoulder
Bone bruise
Rear delt and tricep damaged
Still gonna win the g1″

Callum Newman is set to be part of the G1 Climax in the B Block. The NJPW G1 Climax 36 kicks off on July 11th in Chicago, Illinois at the NOW Arena. He is set to face Yuya Uemura on the first night of the tournament, which will stream on NJPW World. The winner of the G1 Climax receives a guaranteed match for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship, currently held by Tsuji. Tusji beat Newman to win back the title at Dominion.
